Fehmarn

In late September last year, I went to Fehmarn with Martin Kaluza for the Bastic Sea magazine of Tagesspiegel. We explored the island by bike, tried all the fish dishes and drank Schnaps at the worst Greek Restaurant in the world.
I realized that I hadn't been to the island for years, although I had spent a lot of time there with my mother. Her last gift at Christmas 2008 was a voucher for a trip to Fehmarn, which we never redeemed. Now being there again, as a photographer and mother, which I am now myself, had something very healing. -
