Die Hofbäckerei

In August I drove 2400km through Germany to visit three women on their farms. There they showed me their favorite baked goods for the baking book "Die Hofbäckerei".
I met Jessica Schönfeld at her tea farm in Rhineland-Palatinate, where all herbs are managed manually from breeding to harvesting to packaging. At Maria Gührer's dairy and vacation farm, I got to know the most delicious cakes and pies in the farm's own café at Lake Schleinsee, and at Stephanie Fröhlich's I hopped with the kids through their own cornfield at the certified organic cattle farm in the Swabian Alb.
